Motorola has all but fallen from the face of the mobile world until less than 1 year ago when the company released the fully customizable Moto X to the public. Since then, the company released the Moto G and the Moto E to the public and all three of the smartphones have been selling very well due to the high performance specs and the super low price tags. The lower prices also come without any contract and that makes consumer happy when they know they can take the phone anywhere.

For a little while now, Google has had the Android family on edge while they all sit around waiting for the Android 4.4.3 KitKat software update to hit the device they are holding onto. Rumors have been flying around as to what consumers can expect when it shows up, but for the most part, it will fix a couple of bugs and bring a few new features. The update is not going to be anything major, but like always, it will be one that you should have downloaded as soon as you can. When Google released the Moto X, it was noted that just like with Nexus branded devices, the company was going to send out the updated Android software to those device first.

This gives those that need to have the latest and greatest something to think about when looking to upgrade a smartphone. Getting the latest updated version of Android is one thing if you have a Nexus or Moto device, but some consumers are still sitting around waiting for the Android 4.4 KitKat software to arrive. Even if it does arrive for them, they are still 3 updates short of having the latest.

Those that have the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and the Nexus 10 might have already seen the update hit their devices. Those with Motorola smartphones should be seeing the same exact update very shortly after. Those that have the Moto X on the T-Mobile network are reportedly getting the update first, while the rest will be waiting a little longer. Those with the Moto G have been reporting that they are seeing the update finally hit this week. Motorola was one of the first companies to offer the Android 4.4 KitKat software and they have been very quick when it comes to updates that have arrived since then.
